WHY IS SHIPPING SO HIGH?
We're still in the process of familiarizing ourselves with Ecrater's shipping process. If you think you're getting charged too much for shipping, please contact us, and we can get a better rate for you.
All items in the Anime and games section are at a first pay first get. There are only one of each item we have in this section due to them coming from conventions, Yahoo!Japan and our personal collections. If there is an item on Yahoo!Japan you wish to bid for, please contact us and we will be happy to help you unless you wish to try using www.Nopin.com on your own to purchase the item. Nopin is the 3rd party company that we use to bid through. Going through us, we would be a 4th party and would require an extra $10 fee on top of the item cost, item shipping (to Nopin, then to the USA to us and then we ship to you), dealer fees, and Nopin's fees. If you need help in having Nopin explained (it is very confusing) please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to explain it to you. They also can buy from Amazon Japan and a few other Japanese sale sites.
We are more than happy to do a pay plan on items that we are custom making for you. We require that at least half be paid up front for most of the material costs and then the rest be paid in increments. We will not ship off the item until it has been paid for in full.
Pay plans will include a convenience fee of $5 per payment. (IE. The outfit total cost is $484+Shipping. The down pay to start the outfit is $242. You want to make 4 payments after that. So your payments will be $65.50. That will make your end total at $504+Shipping.
If you opt to pay for the item in full, there is no convenience fee, so the item will stay $484+shipping.
~DO WE OFFER DISCOUNTS?~
Sometimes we do. Say you live near us or go to one of the conventions that we will be going to. You can pick up and pay for your item in person, saving you on shipping.
We also give a slight discount on items bought in the anime/game section if you buy several items. E-mail us for these though and we will let you know yes or no.
We will discount if you use us to make several items for you. Such as a whole outfit including props and jewelry, we will discount you, just ask us what we will offer for it.
No, there are no Military, student, or Senior Citizen discounts.
~WHAT IF I DECIDE I NO LONGER WANT THE ITEM BEING WORKED ON?~
If you decide you no longer want the piece or that you can't afford to make the rest of the payments and we have already started working, we will send back what you sent us minus the cost of the materials we had already bought to make the item and $25 for the time spent so far.
~WHAT IF I WANT TO GET IT AGAIN LATER?~
Depending on how later “later” is, we might require more if the materials have been depleted or for a storage fee. We do try not to get rid of anything. Or we could have finished the product and have if up on the website to be sold to anyone. If that is the case, you can buy it from there or if it has been sold, we can work with you to make another.
~WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY AND I CAN'T MAKE PAYMENTS FOR A WHILE?~
Just email us and we'll work with you. We can even put a hold on the production of your item, putting it away in a safe bin until you notify us to take the production of your piece off hold. We will not refund or use any of what you have already paid to us during this time. It will be frozen with the production.
~DO YOU USE BULK MATERIALS?~
No. We do not use a bulk supplier. We go out to the different fabric and craft stores around the area and find the materials to your specifications. We will take pictures of our suggestions during the quoting process and give you the cost. Say there is a good bit of white in your outfit. We will show you the less expensive broadcloth and tell you what its cost is per yard and how many yards we may need for your costume with a total cost. Then we will take pictures and do the same for other materials ranging from silk to satin to sheer and brocades to make your outfit as detailed as you want it. And if you need a specific design that we will have to bead, paint or dye, we will make the better suggestions for you of materials that hold those things better.
Not using Bulk materials, we try to make a unique costume for each person rather than off a product line.
~I NEED THIS ITEM BY A SPECIFIC DATE, CAN YOU DO THAT?~
We will try our best. We are doing this in our spare time as we have jobs during the day, our evenings and weekends are spent dedicated to working on your orders.
We highly suggest you order your item at least 6 MONTHS before the time you need it to give us a good open window to work on it for you. Keep in mind that we may be working on several orders at once between two people.
If you need it within a month, we will have to look at what it is you want, and might have to charge more for staying up late ours of the night to try getting the item done for you as getting only 3 hours of sleep might effect our day jobs~
~ARE ALL ITEMS GUARANTEED THERE?~
Items in the Anime/Game section are almost always there. Please check our Blackout schedule to find out when these items might not be on hand. Again, items in this section are subject to first pay, first get as there is only one of each item. Please see the Anime/Games section for more information.
Items in the Costumes, Jewelry, Head Ornament and prop section must be custom made at the time of first payment unless otherwise stated under the item listed.
~DO YOU REPAIR ITEMS?~
We do indeed~! But it will cost you to send us the item and then cost to ship it back. If you contact us, we will be more than happy to suggest to you how to fix an item and what is best to use, free of charge.
~DO YOU SHIP OUTSIDE OF THE USA?~
Yup~ we ship to Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, and the UK. If you do not live in one of these places, please email us and we will be happy to find out how much it might cost us to ship an item to you. But please keep in mind that we speak mostly English and very little of anything else. (well, maybe a little wibu and what we learned years ago in High school French and Spanish. But hey! That's what Google Translate is for~!) so if you can, use Google translate and email us in your own language and what Google translate says and between us using it and what you have, we're sure to get to an understanding~
Please keep in mind the time needed to ship an item in your ordering. When we run your quote for you, we ask you include your address so we can find out what shipping is in all its many ways and you can choose which is best for you. Shipping cost will include the tracking fee for most packages unless you want us to send it the basic of the basic. If that is the case, there will be no tracking number and it gets there whenever the government postal service gets it to you. But we will notify you when we ship it out and what they say the supposed shipping time is. We know how bad the postal services can be at times. We understand.
~DO YOU CHARGE FOR QUOTES AND SKETCHES?~
Nope~! Though we will warn you that our Designer might like your idea enough to make something similar for herself. She's funny like that, but she wont sell your design. There may be the off chance she might use it as a basis for something else later of her own modifications though
~WHY DOES IT COST THAT MUCH TO MAKE!?~

~BLACKOUT DAYS? CONVENTIONS? WHAT?~
We freeze our website for the long weekends we are at conventions in the Southeast. These conventions are as followed:

the reason for these blackouts is because we will not be able to process orders at these times or we will be selling some of our items at them. If you wish to purchase an item from us and you know you will be at one of these conventions, please contact us to find out if we will certainly be there and we will hold the item for you and meet up with you there. Some of these cons we might skip but the certain two are Animazement and Dragon*Con.
~ARE YOU A COMPANY OR A SOLE DEALER?~
We are a sole dealer. We rent out an office in Augusta Georgia that our items are kept at after we have them shipped to us. The only time the items leave our storage is when we go to conventions. All costume making is done at our own homes which are non smoking.
~CAN I ENTER A COSTUME THAT YOU MADE FOR ME IN A COSTUME CONTEST?~
Only if you list it as a showcase piece and not take the credit for the creation of the costume, only the design if it is one of your design or a collaboration if you and our designer worked together to come up with the end result. YES~! We would love to receive pictures of you with the items we worked hard to make for you~!
